Rep. Tommy Pope describes this week as the “calm before the storm”, since next week he and the other members of the House will begin digging in deeply into everything left on the docket for this year’s session. They are up against a very important deadline with this being the second year of the term, because anything that has not gotten through the Senate will have to be completely started over next year. He also touches on his disappointment with the tax bills, which he feels are “falling down”, so to speak, and will not do enough to change our tax code. He plans to keep voters updated on this subject.
